Protect your home from termites, beetles, cockroaches, carpenter
ants, silverfish . . . naturally
You're
in the house of your dreams. It's either brand new, or brand new
to you. Only one problem. You're not alone. Thousands of unwanted
boarders have moved in with you - termites, roaches, carpenter ants,
beetles, silverfish - and they're here to stay. What's worse, they're
eating you out of house and home, literally. What do you do? Do
what comes naturally. Solve the problem with sodium borate - a mineral
as old as the earth itself. Borates have been mined for over a hundred
years and used in a variety of products from laundry additives to
fibreglass to face creams. For over 40 years, they've protected
lumber from wood-destroying insects. Now, one product is effective
for even broader insect control - pests such as cockroaches, ants,
earwigs and silverfish. For more progressive pest control, treat
your home to longer lasting protection from insect attacks. Treat
your home to Tim-bor Professional.
Tim-bor ® won't drive you out of house and home.
No doubt about it, tenting a home to drive out pests is a method
that has worked for years, particularly for massive infestations.
Only one problem - the tent. It drives out people as well as pests,
not to mention letting pests back in once the tent is taken away.
Is there another way?... a better solution? Now, there is. And it's
natural.
With Tim-bor, you have an insecticide that's odourless, and doesn't
contain any harsh chemicals. Applied properly, Tim-bor protects
the wood - where insects nest - eliminating present infestations,
and preventing future ones.
Solution for spot treatments. In addition to treating infestations
throughout a home, Tim-bor can be used for spot treatments - treating
only those areas where your pest control operator discovers a problem.
As he eliminates the pests, life for you goes on as usual.
Support for soil treatments. Over time, the soil under your home
can be disturbed by leaky water lines, poor drainage and the like,
thus allowing subterranean termites access to your home. Treat the
wood with Tim-bor, and you'll provide added, long-term protection.
After all, it's the wood they're after.
Tim-bor ® stops insects before they attack, and after they
attack.
Pre-treat raw wood during construction here are two basic ways
to protect your home against wood destroying insects: stop them
before they attack, stop them after they attack.
Now, you can accomplish both.
If you're building a new home, Tim-bor can be used as a pre-treatment
to wood, by treating the raw wood after framing and roofing are
up, but before insulation and drywall are installed. If your home
is already built, the product works effectively as a preventative
to infestations by treating any exposed wood, or wood used for any
future additions you may make to your home.
Tim-bor is also your best solution for existing infestations, treating
problem areas remedially - by either spray, foam, injection, or
dust - after a problem is discovered.
Treat your home to Tim-bor, and you'll be treating yourself to
a longer lasting cure for insect problems.
A product with more control.
Ask any termite or cockroach, any beetle or carpenter ant. If they
could, they'd tell you Tim-bor is terribly effective. By diffusing
deep into wood fibres, Tim-bor lasts for as long as wood is kept
dry. That means its controlling power also lasts.
To control wood destroying organisms, Tim-bor is the answer. Termites
ingest the borates while feeding, then spread the active ingredient
throughout the colony, effectively controlling the members. Beetle
larvae ingest the borates from treated wood and soon die. Carpenter
ants find the wood unpalatable, so they don't nest. If they come
into contact with the powder they ingest the borates in an attempt
to clean themselves and soon die. Decay fungi is killed off on contact.
For general insect control, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, silverfish
and other unwanted pests are effectively controlled from the powder
when it's dusted into cracks and crevices.
Use Tim-bor, and you'll find our brand of pest control is not only
natural and effective, it's more progressive.
Tim-bor can be used in addition to a soil termiticide control
subterranean termites like this one.
A safe, sound solution that lasts.
The last thing you need is a pest control treatment that won't last,
or one that does only half the job.
So talk to your professional pest control operator. He'll tell
you what we have - to treat your home to a more effective solution
to insect attack.
Once he applies Tim-bor -- whether to treat an existing problem
remedially, or to prevent an infestation -- your home will be protected.
You won't be inconvenienced by having to pack up and leave. And
the application process will be safe, because the product is environmentally
sound.
Best of all, Tim-bor will provide your home with a longer lasting
solution, effectively treating the common problem of insects and
pests.
The Pests
They tunnelled in, bored through the beams, slipped through
the cracks, looks like an inside job.
Round up the usual suspects.
- Carpenter Ant. Aggressive. Gathers in wall voids, then attacks.
Keep on their trail.
- Subterranean Termite. Stealthy. Likes to tunnel in, forage,
and destroy. Stay alert.
- German cockroach. Prolific. Lurks in cracks and crevices. Be
on the lookout.
- House Cricket. Noisy. Prefers dark, warm retreats. Keep an ear
out.
- Drywood Termite. Big eater. Attics are a favorite hangout. Look
for leftovers.
- Powderpost Beetle. Nomadic. Frequents crawl spaces and basements.
Winged and dangerous.
- Earwig-Night-crawler. Sneaks in, and dispels foul odor. Sniff
them out.
- Fungus. Infectious. Destroys as it grows. Must be eliminated.
- Silverfish. Educated. Enjoys warmth, and good books. Check the
library.
- Old House Borer. Like an obnoxious relative, moves in and stays
for years. Beware.
After a while, it's easy to spot the culprit (or culprits as the
case may be). They all leave certain tell-tale signs. No matter.
One of the best things about Tim-bor Professional is, it's effective
for all of them: wood-destroying organisms, a variety of fungi,
and a long list of other nasty insects.
Depending on the type of the infestation, Tim-bor offers you a
choice of application techniques - spraying, dusting, foaming or
injection - all of which are terminal. Not only are termites, beetles
and carpenter ants eliminated, fungus is killed off, as well as
pests like cockroaches, silverfish, crickets, and earwigs.
Don't allow homes to be infiltrated, overrun and destroyed. Inspect
the scene of the crime, round up the culprits, and eliminate them.
