Attention
to detail has helped Owl Ridge establish a solid reputation as a
quality custom builder. Timber embellishments, including chamfers,
hand-carved details on posts and hammerbeam bents are commonplace.
All timbers are pre-fitted and finishes applied in Owl Ridges
shop to allow ease of assembly and frame completion on site.
Traditional,
contemporary and other unique and specific design requests can easily
be accommodated by Owl Ridge's experienced staff, and many options
can be utilized to successfully express the client's architectural
and aesthetic desires. The majority of Owl Ridge's timber frames
are enclosed with insulation panels, and we also offer panel installation
services upon request.
Owl
Ridge Timber Framing typically specializes in timber frame design,
production, assembly and erection and panel supply and installation.
Full general contracting and project management services are also
available for all our projects upon request.
The
lumber used in our frames is Douglas Fir, Western White Pine, Ponderosa
Pine, and Western Hemlock. Douglas Fir is the most sought after
species in construction for its beauty, straightness and superior
strength. Eastern Pine is commonly used for frames by eastern timberframers
because of its availability and price at eastern lumber mills. We
provide Douglas Fir, a superior product, at the same price as Eastern
Pine. We also offer Western Hemlock as a lower cost alternative.
We have 7 mills in our area with 6 of them being within 15 miles
of our shop. We always shop for the best prices for our customers.
Owl
Ridge Timber Framing offers both Traditional and Japanese Joinery
methods for your frame. Japanese Joinery is a method of joinery
that has been used for over 1500 years and is still used today because
of its superior strength and outer beauty.
