We are located 25 minutes east of Kamloops, in the lower interior
of British Columbia . We have based this company on integrity and
by lowering the prices for Timberframing. We want to keep the company
smaller, more one-on-one with the customer. We have no sales staff
or dealers in order to keep overhead down and mark-ups/commission
as unknown words in our company.

Ridge Timber Framing believes in setting prices that makes it attainable
for the average income-earning person to build a home. You should
not need to earn a six-digit income to afford the luxury of having
a Timberframe home.
Owl Ridge Timber Framing offers the services you want. We provide
in-house design and engineering for your special project. We do
not mark up the cost as most others do. For our design service,
we spend time with you before you sign a contract or send a check.
Before signing with us, we give you an exact price for the design,
based on square footage, rather than on exaggerated time estimates,
which inflates prices. Further, we will give you the price for the
frame you want, with options to save money. We believe in keeping
the costs down for our customers.
All Timber frames are Planed Finish and quoted based on F.O.B.
(from our base). All shipping is extra. Installation is quoted on
either a fixed contract price or by the hour. There are no export
tariffs on our frames at customs due to our pre-manufactured status
(NAFTA). For our out of province and out of country customers, there
will be a tax exemption for you. Price quotes will be in either
Canadian or American funds.
 We
provide many services, such as on-site supervision and consultation,
design service, and in-house engineering. We will help you decide
to build using a Timberframe or a Hybrid design. A Hybrid design
is the marriage of Timberframing and conventional framing. This
helps to keep the costs down, while having the beauty of open space,
large timbers and vaulted ceilings.
We are currently moving to our new 20 acre ranch, located adjacent
to a timber lot in Chase, BC. The lumber used in our frames is Douglas
Fir, Western White Pine, Ponderosa Pine, and Western Hemlock. Douglas
Fir is the most sought after species in construction for its beauty,
straightness and superior strength. Eastern Pine is commonly used
for frames by eastern timberframers because of its availability
and price at eastern lumber mills. We provide Douglas Fir, a superior
product, at the same price as Eastern Pine. We also offer Western
Hemlock as a lower cost alternative. We have 7 mills in our area
with 6 of them being within 15 miles of our shop. We always shop
for the best prices for our customers.
Owl Ridge Timber Framing offers both Traditional and Japanese Joinery
methods for your frame. Japanese Joinery is a method of joinery
that has been used for over 1500 years and is still used today because
of its superior strength and outer beauty.
